What We Do

At Komeza Investments, LLC, our mission is to create sustainable, impactful businesses in East Africa, particularly in Burundi. We identify and invest in opportunities that address high unemployment, environmental challenges, the lack of affordable housing, and the dependency on imported goods. By fostering locally rooted businesses, we aim to generate economic growth and empower communities.

Our Approach We actively seek investments that contribute to Burundi’s sustainable development. Whether through supporting local manufacturing, promoting environmental responsibility, or providing affordable housing, we are committed to making a measurable difference. For businesses struggling to find capital or Burundians in the diaspora looking to invest back home, Komeza Investments offers a transparent and accessible path forward.

Our Focus Our current focus is Burundi, with plans to expand within the East African Community. We are driven by a vision of a self-sustaining East Africa where businesses can thrive and communities can prosper.

Current Projects

Shurwe: Shurwe is a sanitary pad company aimed at making essential hygiene products accessible to women in Burundi. Currently manufactured in China and imported to Burundi, we plan to begin local manufacturing by 2025, which will generate jobs and decrease reliance on imports. 50% Stake

Baza: Baza is a logistics company in Burundi offering various services including food delivery. 10% Stake

Future Projects

Agriculture in Kumoso: Starting in 2025, we will invest in sustainable farming initiatives in the Kumoso region. This project will focus on supporting rural communities, enhancing food security, and promoting environmentally responsible farming.

Affordable Housing: Also in 2025, we aim to address the housing crisis by developing affordable housing options outside Bujumbura, creating stable and dignified living conditions for Burundian families.

Past Projects

FIDO DIDO: In 2022, we invested in FIDO DIDO, a local restaurant initiative. This venture not only created jobs but also provided a welcoming social space for the community.
